| Hi Abbie!x I had a brief chat with good friend Alan Soer who is Chairman of the Arbury Carnival committee and runs the Arbury Community Centre. I said had he had any real discussions/contact with residents like yourself about integrating for the Arbury Carnival....he said that he had had contact with a lady but he couldn't recall her name this morning and that the dates of the Carnival had been confirmed but that no other chats had ensued. He thinks there was interest in this neighbourhood having a stall etc but that's it. Personally I think 'we' should look to take advantage of an established Carnival and 'bolt'on so to speak! I have led the procession over the last 4/5 years which begins at the CRC and heads down Kings Hedges Road to Campkin Road and then proceeds down there to the Community Centre green where there are stalls and things to entertain. I think there is also interest by the established Carnival folk to attract new support too to ensure the Carnival procession is maintained. | Hi Nick....merry xmas!x My mistake...Alan did say Carly had been in touch but we were sorting a wedding function out as our main business and I assumed when reading Abbi's message that that was the lady he had mentioned to me...but after speaking with him again Friday night then Carly it is! What is the outcome then? Are 'we' going to integrate or have a presence and are we going to tie in with stuff that could happen on the same day? I will be there on the day as per usual and so have no problem in helping/assisting this community plug in to the existing ones if required...X
